General: |
Hub for flights into the Lofoten and Vesterålen islands |
Appearance: |
The airport looks relatively modern, with lots of space in what is a small building |
Domestic
After landing it’s a short walk straight into the baggage reclaim hall, which is to one side of the main check-in area. There are two reclaim belts, with one being able to be sealed off from the rest of the area to make it available for international flights (the space also has customs channels)

I have only landed on a domestic flight

A small baggage hall, but as it was a domestic flight there is no separation from the arrivals area, so it feels larger
I have only landed on a domestic flight, though my bags came up on the belt that can be used for international flights if a set of sliding doors are closed. From the baggage hall there would then be the usual customs channels
Routes 1 and 2 each operate on a 10 minute frequency on weekdays, 30 minutes on Saturdays and hourly on Sundays providing a 5/15/30 minute frequency into town, which is about 5 minutes away. Alternatively it's an easy and flat (apart from one steep slope down to the waters edge) 20 minute walk from the airport to the centre of town.
Domestic
After check-in and security the gates are all located either off of the main departure area with it's shops and café or a couple are located down a flight of stairs. For larger flights to Oslo jet bridges are used, otherwise all Widerøe flights are boarded across the tarmac
