Despite landing on the furthest gate, its only a short walk through the terminal building to Immigration and then down into the baggage reclaim hall. A short walk takes you through the Customs hall and out into the main body of the airport
Several desks open when I arrived and passed through very quickly
A large and quite bright baggage hall
Quite a large customs hall, which is at the end of the baggage reclaim hall, so quite a walk. The area was totally unstaffed when I went through
The airport is linked to the city centre by the I and P lines of the suburban rail network, providing a roughly 10 minute service taking about 30 minutes to get to the central station, covered in the ABC zoned tickets of the transport authority.

A large and airy check-in area flows into the security check area and then straight into the departures lounge. As Finland is a Schengen country there are separate passport control points just before the non-Schengen gates
Several bars on both landside and airside

A couple of restaurants on both sides
Lots of shops all over the terminals
The toilets are very clean and well maintained.
