General:

 The main airport for the Brittany region and the Loire Valley, located just outside of the city centre
   

Appearance:

 The airport is relatively modern, but still quite cramped with insufficient seating if there is more than a couple of flights departing around the same time

I have not arrived on a domestic flight at this airport

International
I've only landed here on easyJet flights which used aircraft stairs and walking to the terminal rather than the airbridges. The walk takes you directly to the immigration hall and from there through into the baggage reclaim, customs and then out into the arrivals hall

Immigration was just four desk - the most the space available could have and all four were open for all passports which meant it was no quicker for EU passport holders than it was for any non-EU holders

The baggage hall was significantly larger than immigration with several belts

Customs was the usual couple of channels, but with no staff around

The Airport Shuttle runs into the centre of town via the station and costs quite a bit more than the local buses (which are free at the weekend), taking about 25 minutes to make the journey. You can take the number 38 bus to Pirmil and change there onto the trams into the centre of town with the combined journey taking about 45 minutes.

International
From checking it's through the reasonably large security screening area into the much larger duty free shop and then out into the departures lounge with all the gates located off of here. For non-Schengen flights there is a small passport control area before the cramped gate area which has no facilities in it

One large duty free shop immediately after security and a single branch of Relay.

The toilets were clean and well maintained
