General:

The main airport in Serbia, and the busiest in the former Yugoslavia

Appearance:

The airport is quite small for the number of services it runs, in particular the check-in areas are very cramped. Parts of the airport have clearly been upgraded recently with work ongoing in other areas

Inbound

Domestic
There are no domestic flights at this airport

International
Arriving passengers enter directly into the departures lounge from the plane, from there it's a short walk down a flight of stairs to immigration and through to the large, but cluttered baggage reclaim hall, then through a large customs hall into the arrivals hall

There were several immigration desks, all open and operating efficiently and quickly

The baggage reclaim hall is quite large, but has had probably more than the maximum number of belts squeezed in making it feel quite cramped

There is a large customs hall that you pass through, at the time of going through with no members of staff present

After you have avoided the hoards of Taxi touts telling you there is no public transport into town you exit the terminal building and immediately outside is the shuttle bus to the city centre running at regular intervals

Outbound

Domestic
There are no domestic departures from this airport

International
The check-in area is quite cramped, but once through security there is quite a bit of extra space in departures.

A couple of bar/cafés in departures

A couple of bar/cafés in departures

None

Several large shops in the departures lounged

Toilets were all clean and well maintained
