International
On arrival you enter the building at first floor level and then descend to the ground floor where the baggage reclaim hall is, then through a set of sliding doors and out into the main body of the airport. From landing to being in the main part of the airport is less than 3 minutes walk

As the flight was from another Schengan zone country there was no need to pass through immigration

The baggage reclaim hall is the only part of the airport which has not got natural light, and as such is slightly darker than the rest of the building. Though it is still spacious

As the flight was within the EU there was no need to pass through customs

Tram line 6 from the city centre stops right outside the arrivals hall

International
The airport is split into 3 terminals, Terminal 3 handles Lufthansa departures, Terminal 2 all arrivals and Terminal 1 all other departures. In reality they are all the same building with Terminal 3 and 1 being less than 400 yards from one end to the other. After checking in at the bank of desks, you go up an escalator, though a small security check into the medium sized departure lounge, which is also the gate area. Strangely the gates are lettered rather than numbered.
