General:

The main airport for south Nevada and located just a stone throws from The Strip. Terminal 1 focuses on Domestic flights where as Terminal 3 handles International flights

Appearance:

The airport is modern and well laid out with lots of natural light

Domestic
I have not arrived on a domestic flight at this airport

International
After landing it was a short walk up the airbridge into the terminal building and then down an escalator into the immigration hall which was deserted when we arrived. Immigration was fast and efficient and I was through in under a minute. From immigration there's a long corridor that eventually leads through to the baggage reclaim hall and from there through Customs to the Arrivals Hall

Immigration was quick and efficient helped by the hall being empty when I arrived

The baggage reclaim hall was quite large, but was also one of the darkest parts of the terminal with no natural light and low ceilings.

There were no staff on duty when I went through customs

The only bus from terminal 3 is the CX which runs hourly and heads straight to the strip and Downtown. Alternatively you can get a shuttle over to Terminal 1 where the 109 runs every 15 minutes or so to the Southern Strip Transfer Terminal where you can connect to the Deuce which runs every 10-15 minutes (20-30 minutes overnight) up the Strip and into Downtown

I have not flown domestically from this airport

After checking in you have to enter the TSA queue for security, but this was moving efficiently and it only took about 15 minutes to clear despite their being about 100 people ahead of me. Once through TSA you are in the large open concourse that houses all the E gates, which was where my flight departed from. There is also a D concourse a little walk away.

Several café/bars airside

Several café/bars airside

A couple of restaurants airside

There are the usual selection of Duty Free shops airside, though not as large as at some airports

The toilets were clean and well maintained
