General:

Main airport for access to Provence, and the second busiest on the French Med Coast

Appearance:

A relatively modern airport

From the plane it was a short walk down several floors to the immigration desks and then straight through to the large baggage reclaim hall. From baggage there was just an open area for the Green and Blue channels through customs to exit into the arrivals hall

Immigration was speedy and efficient

The large baggage hall had a number of belts and the bags came round relatively quickly

Not so much of a customs hall as an area immediately before the doors into the arrivals lounge

There are regular buses from the airport to the main railway station, taking around 40 minutes to make the journey

The check-in area is quite large, but when the airline starts check-in late the space fast runs out! From the check-in area its a short walk through to passport control and security, but through a very long winding permanently fixed queue system, that takes about 4 minutes to navigate when there is nobody else in the queue. From security it's straight into the duty free shop.

Several cafes, bars and restaurants both landside and airside

A few shops landside, several more airside

When they weren't all closed for cleaning the toilets were OK (but all in check-in were closed at the same time whilst waiting for check-in to open)
