Tivat

Domestic
Due to the size of Montenegro there are no domestic flights as the only other airports for commercial aviation is in the capital, Podgorica, just 90Km away (and is also used as a convenient airport for Kotor and the coast)

International
On arrival it was a short walk across the tarmac to the terminal building and straight up to the immigration desks. Behind immigration are the two baggage belts and then a short walk through the customs corridor brings you out to the arrivals hall

Immigration was speedy and efficient

There are just two baggage belts, but due to the limited number of flights this isn't an issue

When I visited there were no staff visible in the customs area

There are no public transport links from Tivat airport to either Tivat itself or to the other towns around the Bay of Kotor. There are plenty of taxis which are generally reliable and reasonable value

After checking in you pass through the small and slightly cramped security area before exiting into the queuing system for passport control. The other side of the desk is the departures lounge which has 6 gates (all walk or bus to plane, no jet bridges) and seating for less than 100 people.

Landside there is a large restaurant/café by the check-in area, but once you are landside there are only a couple of vending machines

There is one duty free shop airside

The toilets were clean and in good working order
