General:

Small airstrip in the middle of the desert

Appearance:

The smallest airport I have ever used!! Not much more than a small low rise building in the middle of the desert next to a small airstrip

Inbound

Domestic
The landing strip is literally that a strip of tarmac in the middle of the desert. Landing (if you can on the first attempt - the flight from Cape Town took a couple of attempts because of the wind coming off the desert) you pull up right by the terminal building where you are instantly met by the immigration desks. Directly behind them is the baggage reclaim hall and customs office. Beyond an a set of frosted glass doors is the airport entrance. The entire airport occupies the space of a small supermarket

International
All flights are treated the same

Two desks to deal with all arrivals (absolute maximum of 48 at a time as the planes don't get any bigger)

The baggage belt is directly behind the immigration and is very basic. The entire area that baggage reclaim and immigration occupy would make for a small sized cafe.

Customs is a little office off of baggage reclaim that you need to pop your head round to declare items.

There is no public transport. You need to arrange a pickup from the airport in advance. It is in the middle of the desert about 7 miles from Walvis Bay (where there is also no public transport)

Outbound

Domestic
2 check in desks!! and a very small departure lounge by the (singular) gate!! and that is it

None

1 small shop on the land-side. None on the air-side (no space to put one in even if they wanted to)

The toilets are clean and well maintained.
