General Information

Most links are provided by the generally reliable bus service that links the town to the Lake District as well as Carlisle. Penrith station sits on the West Coast Mainline and has a relatively regular train service south to Oxenholme for the southern lakes and on down to Lancaster, Preston, Manchester and the South. There are regular trains north to Carlisle and onto Edinburgh or Glasgow
