On the positive side the local Cape Verdian staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother. Most of the rest of the staff were pretty good, but a handful of European staff on the Reception/Front of House team let everyone down by being needlessly rude, arrogant and deeply unpleasant. There was a major issue with my room and their response was pretty much tough, deal with it.
Food was mediocre to good. Facilities were good, though in areas there were clear cost cutting measures in place with maintenance not a high priority. All in all this has the potential to be a great place, but it's badly let down by several members of the reception team and penny pinching on the maintenance
