Liberty Cruise, New York

Description

Tours set off from beside the Staten Island Ferry terminal and head out of the East River and round onto the Hudson River

You cruise up the Hudson river until 42nd street where there is a stop you can hop off at

The boat then cruises back down the Hudson past Ellis Island and Liberty Island, stopping for some time just off of Liberty Island to get the best photos of the Statue of Liberty

The boat then returns up the East River to the landing stage. The captain gives a running commentary

The service is popular and despite being there early I wasn't able to get onto the first boat so had to wait nearly 2 hours in a queue. There appears to be just the one boat so at busy times there may be very long queues
