General:

Main airport for the city with three large terminals dealing with national, regional and international flights (including intercontinental)

Appearance:

The newer of the airport terminals, well laid out, but as with many airports suffers from very long walks between different parts of the building

Inbound

Domestic
I have not landed at Terminal A on a domestic flight

International
A long walk through the terminal from the air bridge to immigration and then down into a massive luggage reclaim hall. Customs was a small channel for goods to declair, or just straight out through the doors for the combined green and blue channels.

Friendly and efficient

A large and light baggage hall, making it quite a treck if you bags are coming round on a far belt.

The only actual channel was for good to declair, everyone else was just walking out the doors into arrivals

From terminal 1 you have to take the regular inter-terminal bus round to Terminal 2B (takes about 10 minutes) to connect to the airport station on the suburan rail network. Trains run every 30 minutes to the centre of town, taking about 15 minutes. Alternatively you can take the Metro line 9 either to Terminal 2 station or to one of the connections with the suburban rail closer into Barcelona.

Outbound

Domestic
Have not flown domestically into this airport.

International
Large and spacious checkin area, very long queue area to get into security, but at the time of flying most of the individual check lanes were open so it was pretty quick through.

Fair number of cafe/bars landside. A reasonable number once airside

Fair number of cafe/bars landside. A reasonable number once airside

Fair number of food establishments past security, less in the landside area of the airport

As with Terminal 2, Terminal 1 is basically a shopping Mall with a few airplane gates attached.

The toilets are clean and well maintained.
