General:

Northern Irelands main International airport located about 20 miles outside of the city on the site of the former Aldergrave airforce base

Appearance:

The airport looks quite tired, and inside areas are being refurbished. On the airside there is substantial building work taking place

Inbound

Domestic
After a short walk from the plane it is straight into the large baggage reclaim hall and then out into the arrivals hall

International
I have not arrive on an international flight at this airport

I have only flow domestically from this airport

The baggage hall is quite large and spacious

I have only flow domestically from this airport

There are regular busses to the city centre taking about 40 minutes

Outbound

Domestic
After checking-in its up a long-ish ramp from the landside part of the terminal to the airside part, and through the refurbished security area. Then it’s a short walk into the departures area, which was being refurbished at the time I used the airport

International
I have not flown internationally from this airport

There is a bar in the main departures lounge

There are a couple of cafes dotted around the departures lounge

There are a couple of restaurants in the departures lounge

A large duty/tax free shop occupies a fare part of the departures lounge
