International
On arrival you are met by busses which take you the short distance to the arrivals part of the terminal. On entering the building you are into the queue for immigration then along a corridor and down a staircase to the baggage hall, through a large customs hall and out into the main arrivals hall

There were several desks open and despite the queues (three flights arrived within a short period of time) I was through very quickly

The baggage was delivered in an interesting manner. The belt would start up and move round for about 20 bags or so, then stop wait a couple of minutes and move round another 20 bags, as though they were waiting to empty each cart before setting the belt in motion. On revisiting in 2015 the baggage belts were working correctly

The customs hall was quite large, but had no staff visible

There are regular busses from the airport to Valletta, Sliema, Bugibba the main holiday resorts and Crikewwa for the ferry to Gozo

International
The airport is quite small so it is very quick to get through. After checking in in the large hall you pass through security and go up an escalator to passport control and the small departures lounge, the only real drawback here is the lack of seats, which could cause a problem is several flights were delayed. From the gate you walk out onto the tarmac and to the plane

There are a couple of shops on the land side, Airside there are about 10 shops

The toilets are very clean and well maintained.
