General:

One of the largest airport in Italy, and the main airport for Milan

Appearance:

The airport, at the time of visiting, was undergoing refurbishment. Terminal 2 appears to be only used by a few charter lines and easyJet

You are bussed from the plane to the terminal building and enter at immigration, then it's through to the baggage reclaim hall and customs

Just two desks open for a full flight of passengers, quite speedy for the EU queue, the all other passports queue was going very slowly

A large baggage hall, with three very big belts

The customs area appears to be only three benches underneath signs, you choose which sign you walk past, blue, green or red

There are busses every 20 minutes into town, taking about an hour. Alternatively there are trains from Terminal 1 to the city centre (an inter-terminal bus linking the two terminals)

Departures is a little shambolic. There are multiple 'all flights' desks, but instead of there being one queue going to all desks there is a separate queue for each desk, so you have to take a chance on a queue. Once through the security area you are into a large duty free shop and then out into the gate area.

A couple of cafe/bars both landside and airside

None

One large duty free shop once through security, plus a few smaller ones in the process of being built around the place

The toilets are clean
