General:

The sole airport for Porto, located just north of the city

Appearance:

The airport is very modern with lots of light and space

I have not flown domestically from this airport

The gate I landed at was the furthest gate in the building, so it was a pretty long walk down to the immigration desks and then through into the very light and airy baggage hall with several belts. Through a largish customs hall and out into the arrivals area.

Immigration was speedy with several guards on, in spite of there only being the one flight requiring them

The baggage reclaim area is very large with lots of natural light and several belts

There's a reasonable sized customs hall that you have to pass through.

From the airport there are Metro's about every 20 minutes to the city centre taking just under half an hour

Despite a large checkin area, at the time of flying most flights were being handled by a small number of desks all together so it was a little cramped. The checkin desks are right by the security screening area from which is down a small escalator into the main departures hall.

There are limited facilities land-side, but airside there is a wide selection of cafe/bars and restaurants

A couple of small kiosks landside, and a large number of shops airside

The toilets are very clean and well maintained.
