General: |
The second largest airport on the island and the main airport for South and West Cyprus |
Appearance: |
The airport is relatively modern, though even out of season it's a bit too small for the number of people using it |

There are no domestic flights in Cyprus

After landing you are bussed to the terminal where you enter the large immigration hall, from there it's straight through to the baggage reclaim area which then leads to customs and out to the arrivals hall - all on the same level
Immigration was speedy and efficient
The baggage reclaim hall was of a reasonable size for an airport as busy and Paphos, there was also a small shop allowing the purchase of additional duty free prior to going through customs
There is a simple corridor to walk through for the green channel
There are buses from the airport into Kato Paphos (and Paphos Harbour) for the main resorts [612] running every 60-70 minutes and for the market and upper town [613] 6 journies a day.

After checking in you have to join the cramped queue area to pass through the automatic gates into security, where there is also another long cramped queue for the security screening queues. Once through security you then immediately go through passport control and into the departures lounge which houses a number of shops and food outlets. Off from here is the gate area. Access to all planes is either by walking across the tarmac or by buses to remote stands, there are no air bridges.
