General: |
The airport deals mostly with domestic flights, but with a few internationals as well |
Appearance: |
The airport, about 10Km from the centre of town has been designed along the lines of many of the historic buildings in Seville. |
Domestic
I have not landed on a domestic flight at this airport
International
On arrival you climb up the air bridge to the first floor of the terminal building, and then walk back down again to the ground floor and join the queue for the immigration counters (of which there are only two). From there you are into an area with a single baggage belt, others for domestic flights and flights from within the Schengen zone are the other side of glass barriers. On exiting the baggage area you walk past one harassed looking police man as the exit counts as both the blue, green and red channels! Then its through a set of sliding doors and out into the arrivals hall
There are only a couple of desks, so when a full flight lands there is quite a wait to get through
On non-Schengen flights there is a single baggage belt just behind the immigration booths
Customs appeared to be one harassed police officer who was watching everyone walk out of the baggage area
Regular busses run from the terminal to the centre of the city
Domestic
I have not flown domestically from this airport
International
The checkin desks span most of the length of the terminal building but with lots of people milling around it is still quite cramped. The security area has obviously been recently expanded and after walking through a maze of barrier ropes you reach the security check and then through to the departures lounge. For international flights out of the Schengen zone you have to go through passport control to access the gate.
There are two bar/cafes in the departures lounge and a small café in arrivals

There is one self-service restaurant airside
A couple of shops once through security
The toilets are relatively clean
