General:

The larger of the two airports serving Verona, and the one that most airlines land at

Appearance:

The airport is quite modern and compact

I have not flown domestically from this airport

After landing we had to be bussed to the terminal, where there was one harassed border guard trying to examine everyone's passports, or at least all those coming through on an EU pass. Through the immigration desks into the baggage reclaim hall, which is quite large, through customs and out to the arrivals hall which is also quite spacious

At the time of landing there was just one immigration officer dealing with EU passports, out of his little box and being mobbed by arriving passengers

The baggage hall is quite large, considering the size of the airport, at least four large belts

There was nobody in the customs hall, but lots standing around outside the entrance, so they were probably picking up on people before they entered the channels

There are regular busses from the airport to the city centre taking about 20 minutes

Having checked in and passed through security you are in the main departures lounge, which is mostly made up of shops and cafes. There is very little in the way of seating in the lounge, and also very little by the gates, obviously to encourage you to shop or go to a café. Boarding is via buses to the planes

A couple of bars and cafes once airside
