Traditional eastern block looking trams mingle with modern trams (some barely looking as though they have got the plastic wrapping off!). Efficient service covering most parts of the city
Very similar to the metro's in other former eastern block countries, in fact same trains as the Budapest metro. 3 lines crossing the city serving the centre at 3 interchange stations. Very efficient if only slightly annoying in the fact that the indicators tell you how long since you missed the last train!
Used when we went to Kutna Hora and Plzen. Czech state railways are very efficient with the train being on time at all locations, though journey times are quite slow.
