description A large network of trams serve the city (with some also going all the way through to Bonn). In the centre they double up as the Metro. They appear to be in the process of replacing their trams with a mixture of some very new modern trams and some that are slightly more elderly. The information system at the majority of the station is quite elderly and not particularly useful. The service does keep relativly good time but I did experience some delays.

description In the city centre the tram system become the U-Bahn. With all the crossing lines and tunnels going under each other it is a bit confusing with trams that supposidly stop at the same two stops sharing platforms at one and with separate platforms at another. The information system at the majority of the station is quite elderly and not particularly useful. The service does keep relativly good time but I did experience some delays.

description Fast, reliable and clean trains linking the region. A mixture of mostly modern trains but with the odd few ancient relics still wandering around the region, mostly on the local - call at all stop - trains.
