Bus routes 81 (every 2 hours no service on Sunday) and 82 (hourly, infrequent on Sunday) buses run directly to Thurso taking around 50 minutes. Alternatively take a number 77 (every 2 hours, no service on Sunday) to John O'Groats where it becomes a number 80 and continues round to Thurso following the Pentland Firth, taking around an hour and 45 minutes.
