My Review

A very basic service is all that can be accommodated in a train carriage. Each cabin has space for two beds (one on top of the other.) This is reduced to one bed if you pay first class. A lounge car offers an area to relax in and use the bar/cafe. In cabin service is also offered.
There is a wash basin in each cabin and two toilets for each carriage of 12 cabins (maximum of 24 people to a toilet) There are no shower facilities on board but they are available for a price at Inverness and Euston (Free at Euston to First Class ticket holders.) The staff are all very friendly and helpful and make for a pleasant journey, even if you do get woken up when the train splits and joins in Edinburgh in the early hours of the morning and then get disorientate as it reverses back out of Edinburgh and you wake up facing a different direction to the one you went to sleep in! Breakfast is provided free of charge and comprises a large cup of tea or coffee, a cereal/yoghurt thing, a bacon or egg roll and orange juice.
Sleeper service was relaunched with new rolling stock and rooms in 2019 - this review is based on the older rolling stock
