My Review

The hotel is actually made up of both the main building and a number of converted cottages which have been turned into ensuite rooms - I was staying in the latter, next door to the Mermaid Pub
As the hotel is the only one on the island they so have a monopoly on the accommodation (there is also self-catering cottages and a camp site, but they - along with the hotel - are all operated by the same company). This does show in the service with a very much that will do attitude. Staff were helpful without being overly friendly and the breakfast service was quite chaotic. The room was basic and a bit dated and the bed wasn't the most comfortable
