Due to various delays I ended up catching earlier trains than I was intending on cathching, so even though the train itself was on time I ended up departing 30 minutes early	The earlier train that I managed to catch also called at far fewer stations, so I ended up arriving into Bedford a full 45 minutes ahead of when I was planning to, the train itself was on time.

Due to weekend engineering works there were rail replacement buses from Bedford to Hitchin, the bus left on time	Due to the rail replacement bus service I was 50 minutes later into Blackfriars that I would have been (this was in a large part due to a 30 minute wait at Hitchin) had the service been direct.

The coach between Bedford and Hitchin was very uncomfortable as it was a school bus specification with 3 and 2 narrow seats either side of the aisle, rather than the 2 and 2 you'd normally expect on a coach. The train from Hitchin was comfortable	No onboard service, though there was reasonable level of staffing at both Bedford and Hitchin to guide passengers
