5 minutes late pushing back from Gatwick, but nearly 2 hours earlier than the originally booked flight time as TUI changed the plane and rerouted via Boa Vista adding to the journey length 15 minutes early landing in Sal due to a very quick crew change in Boa Vista

A very cramped flight on a plane normally used for 2 hour hops to the south of Spain, not 6 (actually near 8) hour mid-haul flights Really poor on-board service, massive attempts at upselling (including lying about mosquitos on the islands to sell repellent), everything was to pay for including water

75 minutes late leaving Sal due to a delayed inbound flight Due to a very strong tail wind we made up most of the delay and were only 10 minutes late landing into Gatwick

Almost like night and day compared to the outbound flight, a very comfortable seat, plenty of leg room, storage pocket Pretty good onboard service and much less of the upselling than there was on the outbound flight
